You can find some information about Manual Installations in the CopyMinder manual in CopyMinder.exe (Help|Contents|End Users Perspective|Manual Activation).

If you want to prevent your users from installing manually then you can do so by un-ticking the manual installation type in the Default Settings section of Product Maintenance.

If you wish, you can stop CopyMinder displaying a message that asks them if they want to install manually. You do this by putting
ActivationByProductKey=Internet
in the [Main] section of the .cm.ini file.
