Testing has shown that if a problem is encountered starting a protected program that uses the mitigations in EMET, disabling the following options will allow it to start successfully:
Export Address Table Filtering (EAF)
Simulate Execution Flow
Note : Although our testing showed that disabling these options allowed the protection check to complete successfully, in some circumstances the execution time of the protection check was substantially increased even with these options disabled. It is advised to exclude the protected program from EMET entirely to avoid the possibility of this happening.
