We have discovered that the third party library Eurekalog increases the time taken for a protection check by a factor of approximately ten to twenty. We therefore suggest that if this library is in use, it is restricted to Debug builds and removed in Release builds of your software.

Acronis products have also been found to significantly increase the time taken to perform a protection check, by as much as a factor of ten. Presence of processes called aakore.exe, cyber-protect-service.exe, mms.exe and MmsMonitor.exe are indicative of tis software, which should be disabled, uninstalled or set to exclude the directory where the protected application is installed.
